Webuser MagazineEach issue of the Webuser Magazine features a reader's non-commercial website. We sent them the details of the Bertie Bear web site and they kindly printed the following article on page 61 of issue number 134, 27 April - 10 May 2006. Where in the World is Bertie Bear?Bertie the Bear is the school mascot of the Rake Church of England First School. He has travelled the world on holidays with the school children, but unfortunately went missing on a recent trip to New Zealand. John Studd has set up this web site in a bid to learn the whereabouts of this much-loved bear. Rich in pictures and featuring a guest book, this is a handsome site with lots of content to investigate, but there is a serious purpose behind it - to return Bertie to the schoolchildren he has befriended. Despite being set up in a single weekend, this is a striking site with a purpose that will be of interest to younger children and anyone able to assist with the search. If you can help track down Bertie or want to find about his worldwide travels, pay a visit to the site. We would like to thank Webuser for including this genrous article in their excellent magazine and to thank those who have written in the Guest Book as a result of reading the article. We are still seeking Bertie, so please pass on details about this web site to anyone who you think can help! |
